Beer & NA Beer

Currently, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has beer label requirements for Alcohol by Volume (ABV) is within 0.3% accuracy. Smaller businesses who have yet to build a quality program can use BrewLab to confirm that their beer reaches these metrics.

The FDA Combo is by far the most popular selection among our Seltzer and Soda clients. Along with these, most utilize Sulfur Dioxide, Titratable Aciditities, and Foam Collapse Rate.

Cider & Mead

As the fruit and honey fermentation industries continue to grow, quality is becoming the distinguishing characteristic of a successful cideries and meadery. While it's called the Cider 4-Pack, it's the perfect combination of tests for Mead as well. ABV, ABW, pH, and Calories are all included.

Many cideries like to understand their base levels for Sulfur Dioxide and Acetic Acid. These are responsible for eggy and vinegar off-flavors in fermented apples. Our mead clients often look for Sugars and Carbohydrates.

Komucha & Kefir

Oregon BrewLab uses Near Infared (NIR) and digital densitometery for analysis of ABV and ABW. This instrumentation method of testing is KBI approved. To ensure samples test accurately, it is recommended that all Kombucha samples are FILTERED and shipped with REFRIGERATION. When following these instructions nearly 90% of Kombucha samples are below TTB limit of 0.50% ABV.
